7-week intensive event management training for a volunteer organiser

About

Scone Literary Festival in the Upper Hunter celebrates literary endeavours that improve the human experience.

They bring people together to ask some of the BIG questions and open robust conversation!

Diversity of expression means they celebrate words in all their forms – from books, to podcasts, stories told in song, films, art and verse.

Uncovering, promoting and enhancing emerging rural writers is their passion, and they also encourage those who’ve already ‘made it’ to share their experiences.

7-week intensive event management training

In late 2022, Janie Jordan, president of the festival did our 7-week event management training with a cohort of other event organisers from across regional Australia.

Janie joined to learn how to measure success and how to engage the wider community in the event. She was looking for practical tips, techniques, and tools, particularly a checklist for succession planning.

Outcomes

Janie was fantastic to have in a cohort of learners - she always had a lot of great tips to share from her experience as an event organiser in regional Australia, and questions to ask.
