Grenfell’s big annual event is The Henry Lawson Festival of Arts - a time when family and friends return to Grenfell for a big community party!

But after over 60 years, the event needs a refresh, and volunteerism for the event needs reinvigoration.

7-week intensive event management training

Claire McCann, Council’s Art & Tourism Officer, undertook our event management training to be better able to support the committee of volunteer event organisers to revitalise the event.

Cristy and her husband James have traveled extensively through Russia, China and South East Asia, and have two fur-babies, Sooty (cat) and Panda (puppy). Cristy loves drinking coffee, meeting people to drink coffee, coffee tasting and coffee flavoured cocktails. She also enjoys road trips, TED Talks and watching cat videos on youtube.
