Events ACT is the lead agency for the development of major events in Canberra. Their role includes managing grants for events, and providing strategic planning support, advice, and capacity building initiatives.

Event management training bootcamp

Events ACT hired rEVENTS Academy to present a two-day event management training workshop for Canberra region’s event organisers. Presenters Linda and Cath covered all ten of rEVENTS Academy’s training modules at a high level to ensure events received broad learnings across all aspects of event planning, marketing and delivery.

rEVENTS Academy’s templates were provided for the event organisers, and online master classes were delivered as a follow up, based on the outcomes from the bootcamp.

Outcomes

A survey of participants revealed 96% of participants rating the bootcamp as ‘very good’ or excellent’.  The presenters were extremely well received with 100% of participants rating them as ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’.
