The program helped strengthen the council’s approach to event funding and assessment, while also improving transparency, streamlining processes, and sharpening its understanding of sponsorship, income streams and community outcomes.
Orange360 partnered with the Australian Centre for Regional Events to deliver its Annual Events Bootcamp, helping local organisers build the skills, systems and confidence needed to create stronger regional events. The program supported the region’s strategic focus on growing sustainable festivals and events, with participants gaining practical tools in planning, audience experience, communication, and long-term financial and operational resilience.

Ord Valley Events is the community-driven organisation behind the iconic Ord Valley Muster, a flagship East Kimberley event that celebrates the region’s cultural richness, landscapes and talent while supporting tourism and economic activity. Through strategic planning support, the organisation gained a practical long-term roadmap that aligned the Board, stakeholders and delivery team around clear priorities, stronger systems and sustainable growth for the future.
The Gracetown Kite Festival brings locals and visitors together each year to celebrate art, community and the coastal environment. Through the Regional Event Management Signature Program, organiser Elizabeth Reed gained the strategy, confidence and tools to strengthen the festival’s long-term sustainability, improve its digital presence, and shape a scalable event model now being applied in both Gracetown and a new regional event in Geraldton.
Since launching in 2016, the Esk Garden Fair has grown into a much-loved community event in the heart of Esk. Through the Destination Elevate program, the committee strengthened its strategic planning, embraced new technology and more professional systems, and built greater confidence in delivering a successful, sustainable event with stronger community and business support.
